Racial Harmony Day

Hi everyone! Today, I'm going to talk about the Racial Harmony Day celebration in school on Monday. During recess, there were some stalls set up that were selling traditional food, like satay, dragon's beard candy etc. I didn't get to buy any though...
Oops! I nearly forgot! Before recess, there was a play in the hall called "The Importance of Being Kay-Po" (means busybody). It was totally hilarious! Later, there were supposed to be a few activities in the parade square, but since it was raining, the activities had to be in the hall. :(

Later in class, we each made a garland. It was hard, but I finally managed to finish it at home. All of the activities were incredibly fun. I hope that the school will organise it again next year!

National Day Parade

Hi everyone! Today, I'm going to talk about the NDP. I was actually suppose to talk about the NE show, but I was feeling sick on that day, so I didn't go. But, I heard from my friends that it was fun. So instead, the NDP. The NDP, of course, stands for National Day Parade.
The NDP is a very big show, and alot of people like it. For instance, I like the aircraft. But, I can't go for the real thing, as tickets are very expensive, and the stadium can be very crowded. So I can only watch it on TV... :(
Okay, that's all I have to say. I hope you enjoy the NDP!

SPICES

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about SPICES. You may be thinking about cinnamon and other spices but, SPICES is actually an acronym for Sincerity, Passion, Integrity, Courage, Excellence, and Self- discipline. Below are some examples on these values:

Sincerity:When you give up your seat in a crowded bus to a someone who needs it more.

Passion: When you do your homework thoroughly and check it until you are content with it.

Integrity: When you find money on the ground, instead of keeping it for yourself, you give it to a teacher or to the General Office.

Courage: When you have done something wrong, instead of lying about not doing it, you own up.

Excellence: When you keep on trying to do a certain thing, you keep on trying, and finally persevere.

Self- discipline: When you behave yourself without being told to do so.

And that's SPICES!

Reflection 5 :Netiquette

Hi everyone! Today, I'm going to talk about Netiquette. Netiquette is about displaying Internet courtesy and demonstrating mutual respect in Cyberspace. They are rules like everyday laws or school rules. There are 6 rules of Netiquette, which are:
1. Use capital letters and punctuation correctly. (Don't shout: Using capital letters unnecessarily)
2. Respect other people's time and privacy. (Only send important emails to people)
3. Know your audience. (Know who you are "speaking" to)
4. Don't flame. (No crude words or threatening)
5. Do not copy software, videos and other things that are under the copyright law.
6. Know when to use formal and informal styles of writing properly. (Use a formal style of writing when writing to your teacher)

We should follow the rules of netiquette to make Cyberspace a much safer, nicer, and better place for everyone.

And, always remember this Golden Message :
Display good manners and demonstrate mutual respect in Cyberspace!
